'FEED THE BELIEF AND STARVE THE DOUBT!' •
‘All About The Fight-Going The Distance!’ is an innovation of Grime Dance Theatre honouring the skill, culture & spirit of Boxing.
Drawing on extensive ethnographical training with Boxing, Dance & Music communities, in 11 Rounds, ‘Going The Distance’ is a celebration of the human spirit and a testament to the endurance of the soul and the fight within all of us.
Through a captivating fusion of diverse dance genres, live high-energy Grime Music and empowering storytelling, get ready to go the distance in fights behind the limelight where movement and music is fierce, the passion is palpable, and winners are measured within.

Created over an 18-month period through immersive ethnographical training, research, exploration & collaboration with Boxing & Grime communities, a diverse team of Dance practitioners & mental health/sport therapy specialists, ‘Going The Distance’ has engaged with over 10,000 audience members.
‘Going The Distance’ premiered at Arena Theatre, Wolverhampton in April 2022.
Commissioned for the B2022 Commonwealth Games Festival Sites
Programmed for sports Side Presentation for the Commonwealth Boxing Games and Finals at NEC, Birmingham.
Commissioned as mass participation project for Birmingham Festival 2023 as Commonwealth legacy.
