Featuring young people from the local area & live Grime Artist, TB, #WeArePowerful is an aspirational youth curtain closer performance, forming the explosive & climatic 12th Round of ‘Going The Distance’ by Sterran Dance Theatre as part of the ‘All About The Fight’ events.

Uniting Dance, Sport and Grime Music through an enriched collaborative process, the empowering curtain-closer celebrates the transformative power of expression & showcases the strength & influence of a young generation.

Over an 18-month period over 2,000 young people have participated in the #WeArePowerful project and over 10,000 audience members have engaged with the inspirational performance.

‘#WeArePowerful’ premiered at Arena Theatre, Wolverhampton in 2022 involving 50 dancers.
Commissioned for the B2022 Commonwealth Games Festival Sites
Programmed for sports Side Presentation for the Commonwealth Boxing Games and Finals at NEC, Birmingham.
Commissioned as mass participation project for Birmingham Festival 2023 as Commonwealth legacy.

Tristan a.k.a ‘TB’ Grime / Hip-Hop Artist from Wolverhampton has rapidly grown in the music scene over the last 4 years. Playing sold-out gigs & performances in Stoke, Leeds, Manchester & London, TB has also had his music featured on BBC Radio WM & BBC 1XTRA. TB has worked alongside many well-known players in the music industry including ShadowOnTheBeat, grime artists Sox & Tantskii, & worked with Grammy award winning producer James Auwarter on an anti-domestic abuse track.
